A Variety of Dentures to Meet Your Unique Needs

Dentures are able to restore the form and function of your smile following widespread tooth loss. Dr. J.D. Murray and Dr. William Alexander offer various types of dentures to meet our patients' individualized needs at our East Point, GA, office. When you come to Pampered Smiles for treatment, our team will assess your health needs, cosmetic goals, and budget so that we can plan a unique, customized treatment. We are dedicated to helping each patient achieve a restored, natural-looking smile.

Traditional Dentures Custom Crafted for You

Pampered Smiles provides both full and partial traditional dentures. Full dentures will replace all of your upper dental arch, lower arch, or both. A partial denture can restore multiple consecutively missing teeth. Traditional removable dentures are made with a plastic base that will fit over your gums. Dr. Murray or Dr. Alexander will take detailed impressions of your gums and remaining teeth. They will send the impressions to our lab, and they will work closely with the technicians to ensure a snug, comfortable fit. Your treatment team will also make sure that the color of the plastic base matches shade of your gum tissue. Partial dentures also have small, metal clips, which will keep the restoration supported by your neighboring teeth. We will place these clips so that they are as discreet as possible.

Both full and partial dentures are available in several varieties, and they can be crafted from a range of materials. Our office is able to provide more economic options, as well as higher-end, deluxe selections for our patients. We will consider your budget and cosmetic concerns when helping you choose the right type of denture.

Dental implants are able to provide unparalleled support to restorations. Dr. Murray and Dr. Alexander are highly skilled in placing and restoring dental implants.

Advanced Implant-supported Dentures

At Pampered Smiles, we proudly offer implant-supported dentures. Similar to traditional dentures, these permanent restorations are available in both full and partial varieties. However, dental implants are able to provide unparalleled support to restorations. If you currently have a traditional prosthesis, we can often convert these restorations to be implant-supported for superior stability and benefits.

Dr. Murray and Dr. Alexander are highly skilled in placing and restoring dental implants. After taking 3-D scans of your mouth, they will find the strongest areas of bone. You will require two or more posts for a partial denture and four or more for a full denture. After the recovery period, Dr. Murray or Dr. Alexander will attach your custom denture.

Our dentists can also place All-on-4® implants, which can be a convenient alternative to conventional implant-supported dentures. This advanced technique relies on just four implants being precisely inserted into your jawbone to support a full arch of prosthesis.

How Can Dentures Benefit You?

Both traditional and implant-supported dentures can restore your smile and self-confidence. With this restorative treatment, you will be able to eat a more varied diet, and you may find that your speech improves, as well. Dr. Murray or Dr. Alexander will design your denture to match the overall proportions of your face, filling out your lips and cheeks. Your renewed appearance can provide you with a significant boost in self-esteem and improve your overall quality of life.

In comparison to traditional dentures, implant-supported dentures are affixed to dental implants.

Implant-supported dentures offer additional benefits. Implants are permanently set in your jaw, enabling most patients to enjoy virtually complete oral function with no dietary restrictions. The denture will also look more natural, since it will not have a larger base or metal attachment pieces. Most importantly, implant posts will prevent jawbone recession by sending out regenerative signals to your bone tissue. Your dental implants can preserve your natural facial contours, and you will not have to replace or reline your denture to fit the new shape of your jaw.
